Gordon, say it ain't so

I ran into Gordon Hintz at the Common Council meeting, and although I didn't say anything to him I thought he looked well, like the the life of being a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly suited him.

To my horror this morning, however, I learned that he has become a Republican. It says so right here in the Northwestern:

State Rep. Gordon Hintz, R-Oshkosh, nominated the group for the award it received Tuesday night.

I guess that explains why he is looking so hale and hearty.

"That is not cool", said Hintz.

Does it really matter what side of the aisle they are on..
They are not holding down taxes/fees or balancing budgets. Cities and schools are getting the shaft!

In the educational system from which I matriculated, that looks like a "D" not an "R".

The Northwestern made the correction on its Web site (after the original post here).

The print version has GH as an R.

Air guitar knows no political boundaries. To say Krye Tuff belongs to anything but the world is heresy.

Krye's blistering "Ace of Spades" air riff, complete with respledent spandex and a tasteful layer of rouge, shall set the world free when the time is right.

Notice the lack of political affiliation mention in the above sentence. So let it be written. So let it be done. Unleash your powers upon thee, Krye. Your faithful flock awaits your second coming. For until that day of "Ace" reckoning, we shall forever forgive your oppressors who seek to label you (sometimes "incorrectly," so sayeth the lay people) and those who willingly see the world through political machinations.

If I can be less serious for a moment, The Northwestern has its hands full with a Web redesign. A reporter, a copy editor, a section editor, a managing editor and an executive editor could all easily allow the incorrect (I would go so far as to say "wrong") political affiliation of our local state rep to be printed. You can only do so much, you know?

Then again, incorrectly stating an alter ego's political affiliation is not the highest crime. A little day-job mix-'em-up never hurt the legend of superheroes – especially those who travel with air guitars and the talent with which to shread – who transcend time and end up saving the world. Mystery and aura only add to a persona like Krye Tuff's.

And yes, Gordon Hintz IS the alias, not the other way around. The "Ace" rapture is nigh, people. Get ready to live ...
